Our lawn mowing service cuts your lawn at the height its grass type needs. Edging and string trimming come with every cut, and we blow the clippings off the hard surfaces. St. Augustine grass is the most common lawn grass in Florida. In the growing season, it typically needs a cut every week, Florida's extension service says.
You can book a one-time cut, or set up recurring lawn maintenance. Lawn Leveling Masters mows lawns in Bradenton and the towns about 60 miles around it. Call or text (941) 812-6030, and we look at the lawn and put the quote in writing.

Each cut has four parts. First comes the mowing, at one even height across the lawn. Then we edge along the walks and driveway, so the grass stops at a clean line.
String trimming comes next, around trees and along fence lines. It also tidies the grass at the edges of beds. Last, we blow the clippings off the driveway and walks and back onto the lawn.
The City of Bradenton asks residents not to blow or sweep yard waste into the streets or storm sewers. Clippings blown into a storm sewer add nutrients to streams and other surface waters, the city notes. Sarasota County and Hillsborough County codes also bar blowing clippings into storm drains or roadways.
Floratam is the most widely used St. Augustine grass in Florida. Florida's extension service puts standard types like Floratam at 3.5 to 4 inches. Dwarf types of St. Augustine are cut lower, at 2 to 2.5 inches.
Bahia grass is mowed at 3 to 4 inches, often just to take off its seedheads. Coarse Zoysia grass types do well at 2 to 2.5 inches. Bermuda grass is cut lowest, at 0.5 to 1.5 inches.
A higher cut grows deeper roots, and deeper roots help the grass through dry spells. The extension service says to always mow at the highest recommended height for your grass. It also advises a higher cut for grass in shade. We set the height of each cut to your grass type.
A one-time cut suits a lawn that got ahead of you, or a home about to go on the market. You can book a single cut and decide on recurring cuts later.
Tall grass should not come down to its normal height in one pass. The extension service's one-third rule says to remove no more than a third of the blade per mowing. Cutting more than that scalps the grass and can do long-term damage. So we bring an overgrown lawn down over more than one visit.
Leaves and small debris often hide in a tall lawn. When they cover the grass, a yard cleanup clears them before the first cut.

We come out and look at the lawn in person. On a leveling job, we check how many low spots it has and how deep they run.
We put the quote in writing, with the work spelled out. Once you say yes, we set the day for the job.
On a leveling job, we mow low, then mark and fill every low spot. On a mowing visit, we mow and edge the lawn and trim around the beds.
The fill is tamped firm and raked in, and the lawn is left flat for the mower. Every mowing visit ends with the walks and the drive blown clean.
